We at MSM Foods and Beverages Private Limited produce Cordyceps Militaris (Medicinal Mushrooms). Currently, we are making bakery products like bread, loaves, cookies, coffee and green tea with cordyceps as an add on ingredient. WHAT IS IT - It is a rare combination of a caterpillar and a fungus and found at an altitude of above 4500m. Traditional healers and local people recommend the fungus i.e. YARTSA GUNBU or KEERA JHAR (CORDYCEPS). It is one of the rarest and mysterious MUSHROOMS. HOW IS IT MADE - Currently, economically important products from fungi can be harvested from two main sources, natural wild collection as well as artificial culture of mycelium/ fruiting bodies. Collection of fungi from wild is difficult and it raises serious concerns regarding environment sustainability; therefore, most industrial manufacturers (U.S.A., China, Japan) and academic research groups use artificial technologies to obtain fungal products.
