A mobile petrol pump made up of smart hardware like Internet of Things(IoT) devices and integration of smart software like a robust mobile application, is one of the greatest innovations in the industry of fuel distribution. This innovation literally can now take a retail fuel outlet to the doorsteps of a customer and provide the fuel delivery at the desired location of the clients. How this can improve on the erstwhile way of procurement is that by making the end customer actively involved in the procurement process without having to hire resources like vehicles and manpower and then make regular trips to the retail outlets, a mobile petrol pump now reaches the location of the customer. A customer can ensure the right amount of quality and the quantity of the fuel and then only accept the delivery. It saves them the money and hassles thus boosts the efficiency in the procurement process. As all of this possible with the mobile petrol pump which costs minimal when compared to the costs incurred to erect a stationery retail fuel outlet, this model of fuel distribution is extremely scalable as more and more mobile petrol pumps can be deployed to cater demands of fuel depending on their geographies and consumption patterns.
