North east states have been largely neglected over decades. The growth of an area is sustainable only if the natural wealth of the region is harnessed through value added industrialisation. North east has a lot of crops but not sufficient value added industrialisation has happened. The demand for bamboo fell drastically since scaffolding shifted to steel and raw agarbati sticks are largely imported. We suggest to develop and implement a single-step, tech disruptive, patented, cost effective production process to create activated charcoal from Bamboo. This will give more value add compared to briquittes and charcoal. Also, the proposed process will not generate any pollution during any stage of manufacturing but will contribute in meeting climate change mitigation goals through enhanced cultivation of bamboo, help generate foreign exchange due to export potential and make project viable at smaller scale of production.
