Navriti Skills Mission Foundation is a purpose-driven Section 8 organization dedicated to empowering women and uplifting youth across Northeast India through skill development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Founded with the vision of creating dignity through economic empowerment, the organization works to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity in one of India’s most culturally rich yet underserved regions. At Navriti, we believe that transformation comes through structured empowerment, not charity. Under the leadership of founder Satabdee Borah, who brings over 23 years of corporate HR experience, the foundation focuses on building employable skills, strengthening local leadership, and creating long-term economic impact for communities. Our initiatives are centered around five core pillars: Skill Development, Women Entrepreneurship, Artisan Livelihoods, Youth Employment, and Community Empowerment. Through market-aligned training programs, mentorship, employment linkage, and enterprise support, we enable individuals to become financially independent and socially empowered. One of our flagship initiatives, “Rise HER,” is designed to provide vocational training, entrepreneurship guidance, financial literacy, and market access to women, helping them build sustainable careers and businesses. Navriti also works towards preserving and promoting the rich artisanal heritage of Northeast India by connecting local crafts such as Assamese handloom, Muga silk, bamboo craft, and herbal wellness products with ethical national and global markets through transparent supply chains. With a strong commitment to governance, transparency, and measurable social impact, Navriti Skills Mission Foundation aims to create an equitable future where every woman and youth can earn with dignity, contribute meaningfully to society, and inspire lasting generational change.
