Engineering simulation is an essential tool for modern product design, optimization, and research across manufacturing, energy, thermal systems, and process engineering. However, adoption of simulation-driven design among MSMEs, startups, students, and many academic institutions remains limited due to two key challenges: the high cost of commercial engineering software and the complexity of powerful open-source alternatives. Commercial simulation tools are typically priced using global licensing models, making them unaffordable for many organizations. This forces MSMEs to rely on trial-and-error approaches and restricts students and researchers to limited software editions. While open-source engineering tools offer industrial-grade capabilities at lower cost, their steep learning curve, manual workflows, and lack of structured, practice-oriented training significantly hinder adoption. To address these gaps, the startup is developing a cloud-based engineering simulation platform, beginning with computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The platform provides affordable, pay-per-use access to simulations without the need for expensive licenses or high-end hardware. It is built on established open-source computational engines and enhanced with proprietary workflow automation and simplified user interfaces to reduce setup complexity. Alongside the platform, the startup offers structured, hands-on online training programs focused on practical, industry-relevant use cases to accelerate skill development and adoption. An early-stage prototype has been developed that validates the core CFD solver workflow and web-based interface for a specific use case. Business-layer components such as authentication, billing, and cloud orchestration are planned for subsequent phases. Through affordable access and structured skill enablement, the startup aims to expand the use of engineering simulations across academia and industry.
