Our startup is developing a plug-and-play HCX compliance adapter designed specifically for the Indian healthcare ecosystem to enable seamless integration with the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX) framework. The solution is built for all stakeholders, including hospitals, HMIS platforms, TPAs, and payers (insurance companies), to simplify and standardize digital claims processing across India. The platform acts as a universal, side-agnostic interoperability layer that can be integrated with minimal effort into existing systems on any side of the ecosystem. It abstracts the complexity of NHCX protocols and FHIR-based data exchange standards mandated under India’s ABDM initiative, allowing participants to securely exchange claim-related transactions such as eligibility checks, pre-authorizations, claim submissions, and adjudication responses. Designed as a modular, API-driven adapter, the solution enables rapid onboarding without requiring significant redevelopment of existing hospital or insurance systems. It ensures compliance with Indian regulatory frameworks, including ABDM and IRDAI guidelines, while offering capabilities such as real-time validation, workflow orchestration, secure communication, and error handling. The innovation lies in creating a lightweight, plug-and-play compliance layer tailored for India, eliminating the need for each participant to build complex NHCX integrations independently. This reduces cost, time, and technical barriers, particularly for small and mid-sized healthcare providers and intermediaries across the country. By enabling faster, standardized, and compliant data exchange within India’s healthcare claims ecosystem, the solution enhances operational efficiency, reduces claim settlement timelines, and improves transparency between providers and payers, contributing to the advancement of India’s digital health mission.
