At NutriShakthi Private Limited, we believe that every child has the right to grow into a healthy adult. Undernutrition, particularly wasting, where the child’s weight is low for their length/height, is a major public health problem in India with over 21 million affected , of which 8 million severely affected. An energy and nutrient dense food is required over a short period of time for recovery. An indigenous, culturally acceptable nutrient dense food product, NutriShakthi Bal Ahaar, has been designed for children 6 to 59 months of age. Served as a porridge, it has proven to be highly acceptable with good weight gain achieved in the initial stages of the ongoing clinical trial. The all India revenue potential for the nutraceutical is about INR 6500 crores.
