OFSTARD Innovations LLP is a deep tech company that develops sustainable high-performance building materials. Our goal is to enable a shift to efficient and resilient buildings with less impact on the environment using innovative construction materials that lower carbon footprint while improving building performance. ThermaBreathe CapiLock is our flagship product – a high-tech mineral coating that solves one of the most difficult problems in buildings: rising damp. Contrary to CEMENT-BASED PLASTER systems, which retain moisture in the masonry, ThermaBreathe CapiLock blocks the capillary rise of water from the ground while at the same time allows water vapour to pass through the wall. These properties help keep the walls dry, prevent the formation of moisture in the walls, avoid deterioration due to moisture and make buildings more comfortable for people. In addition to managing moisture, ThermaBreathe CapiLock improves the thermal performance of buildings. Our field tests show the temperature drop of the surface of up to 4 degrees centigrade during the summer season when compared to traditionally finished buildings. Apart from what we already produce, OFSTARD Innovations LLP is conducting research and development to come up with future generation construction materials for the future of automated construction. We are developing wall construction material to replace existing AAC blocks when used in association with 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP). AAC blocks have allowed lightweight construction to some extent but have their own limitations including low compressive strength, manual handling during construction and are incompatible with automated construction process. Using this method, not only can construction time be minimized but wastage of materials will be reduced. Innovation in advanced construction materials has always been at the core of OFSTARD Innovations LLP.
