Optimus oncology was established in September 2016 by six like-minded and reputed oncologists from different parts of the country. This group firmly believes in propagation of evidence-based medicine with sensitivity and empathy. Apart from being a psychological, social and financial burden, cancer burdens the patients living in rural areas additionally, who have to travel sometimes up to 1000 km to receive basic diagnosis and treatment. Optimus Oncology (Optimus meaning “very good or best”) is the baby born out of this thought. This start up aims to cater to cancer patients of rural and underprivileged India wherein they receive the current modern standards of care in diagnosis and treatment.
