Orang Utan Organics is an agri-Tech based organic food startup focused on building a traceable, transparent, and sustainable farm-to-market supply chain connecting small and marginal farmers from remote Himalayan regions to urban consumers and institutional buyers. The startup directly sources organic and traditionally grown produce from village-level farmer clusters, processes products in small batches with minimal intervention, and distributes them through a hybrid D2C and B2B model, including its institutional sourcing arm, Rural Reaps – by Orang Utan. A core differentiator of Orang Utan Organics is its origin-led and traceability-driven approach, where products are linked to specific regions, batches, and farmer groups, with scope for integrating quality testing and digital traceability to ensure authenticity and prevent greenwashing. By eliminating intermediaries and ensuring fair pricing, the startup improves farmer incomes while offering consumers and businesses genuinely clean, single-origin organic food.
