OrthoSeal is a deep-tech healthcare startup focused on the design, development, and manufacturing of next-generation orthopedic implants enabled by patented bioactive and antimicrobial surface technologies. Founded by researchers from NITK Surathkal, OrthoSeal has developed a patented, multifunctional coating platform that significantly enhances osseointegration, mechanical durability, and infection resistance, directly addressing key clinical challenges such as implant loosening, poor bone bonding, and post-surgical infections associated with conventional titanium, stainless steel, and cobalt-chromium implants. Our proprietary technology integrates hydroxyapatite-based coatings reinforced with advanced ceramics and nanomaterials, resulting in superior biocompatibility, long-term structural stability, and antimicrobial performance. The solution has been scientifically validated through extensive in-vitro testing, in-vivo animal studies, peer-reviewed publications, and a granted patent, demonstrating strong translational potential for clinical use. OrthoSeal is building a scalable, indigenous manufacturing ecosystem for orthopedic implants, aligned with Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Swastha Bharat initiatives. By reducing import dependence and offering high-quality, cost-effective, and globally compliant implants, we aim to improve patient outcomes, expand access to advanced orthopedic care, and position India as a global hub for innovative orthopedic solutions.
