Incentive-based skill imparting application in audio-visual format, for the worker in real estate construction-related activities. The construction sector is expected to employ around 77 million people by 2022. Out of this 83.30% are unskilled with either no education qualification requirement or a basic qualification of VIII/X/XII pass (Source: Industry Interactions; KPMG in India Analysis), they occupy the bottom-most position in the pyramid of the workforce in the real-estate sector. Interestingly, a significant number of the female workforce also belong to this sect of the pyramid. The incremental workforce requirement is around 4 million people per year over the next seven years to sustain the current growth rate. Furthermore, the sector requires skilled and technical sound manpower to make their respective firm commercially viable in the increasingly competitive real estate sector. Therefore, looking at the mammoth figures mentioned above and the huge potential of skilling, there is tremendous scope in real estate. An application named “Ek Inch” which requires minimum navigation skilling will be used for imparting fresh/recognition of prior skilling /upskilling of the construction workforce through audiovisual means. To motivate the workforce for upgrading their skill a set of different rewards has been used like free recharge, insurance, and sanitary kits, etc. Therefore, it is an “Incentive-based skill development program for workers (through digital means) lying at the bottom of the pyramid”.
