Oxyheal is a medical device for chronic wound patients which facilitates healing by the use of Localised Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on the wound bed by reducing Local hypoxia and anaerobic bacterial load. It is a portable device which connects to a oxygen source like an oxygen cylinder or an oxygen concentrator. This device works by maintaining a constant pressure envelope of oxygen around the wound. The wound is covered with an occlusive bandage and then the device is connected to the bandage using a flexible tube. The oxygen is supplied to the wound bed using this tube and the device controls the flow and pressure of the oxygen being delivered. We have successfully built a prototype and have associated with a reputable hospital for testing, which is slated to begin when the pandemic recedes.
