Assistive technology for old, disabled and weak persons for climbing stairs and uphill. Useful for Soldiers and persons needed to climb hills in difficult conditions. After an unsuccessful attempt at designing a Compact Hubless Electric bike that could be carried in a backpack, I am working on a device to provide climbing assistance to the hill climbers, old aged who find climbing stairs difficult and debilitated people. The urgency began with need to provide assistance to the soldiers climbing hills of Ladakh. It is a compact battery powered device which can raise a person of 80 kgs to a height of 1000 meter elevation. it will be worn on leg and will have dual option of control by manual or muscle reaction.
