Pancreatitis treatment in Ayurvedic Inflammation of pancreas is called pancreatitis. It may be acute or chronic. When pancreas tries to recover from a small injury, it is called acute pancreatitis. When the injury to pancreas never stops, it is called chronic pancreatitis. Patient suffering with pancreatitis will have severe pain in upper abdomen, radiating to the back in the region of L1 and L2, also will have jaundice and loses gross weight in 3 to 6 months. Patient suffering with this disease has to undergo complete diagnosis first to know underlying imbalances causing this disease. Ayurveda’s healing approach to this disease uses a technique called Rasa Shastra to remove toxins and excess pitta from the body which governs metabolism and digestion. Continuing the course for due time cleanses the digestive system and enhance the pancreas functioning. Further taking proper diet reduces stress on the pancreas and reduces acute pancreatitis. To reduce chronic pancreatitis, a treatment called Aushadh is used in ayurveda which uses herbals like turmeric, aloe vera, triphala, guduchi and licorice. In addition to these, doing regular exercises, yoga, meditation, pranayama and drinking warm water redcuces pancreatitis disease.
