With over 90% of the Indian population preferring arranged marriages, the majority of people still use offline routes to find the right partner. We created PelliApp with a mission to disrupt the Indian matchmaking experience. Marriage brokers, bureaus, and all existing matrimonial apps charge thousands of rupees in form of packages. All the existing matrimonial apps are two decades old and they are merely marriage bureaus with an app and a website but PelliApp is totally different, our goal is to build an online ecosystem for arranged marriages with no entry barriers and all premium features are free that comes with initial registration fees. We launched our Android app on January 26th 2022 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pelli.app) and iOS version on March 4th 2022(https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/pelliapp/id1618588538), only in two states (Andhra and Telangana) and the response is overwhelming. Our user base now is sitting at 20,0000 and all our members are verified. We launched our in-app purchases on April 22nd and made $2500 in a month. We are actively looking for funding to heavily invest in the marketing and subsequently launch in the other states.
