Powerpace Technology Pvt. Ltd. is a dynamic start-up powered by experienced professionals working on development of the innovative technological solutions to enable positive transformation of energy and e-mobility sector of India. Our main focus is on development of the cost effective, affordable, compact & portable DC fast charger technology for 4W EVs. Presently electric cars are offered with either 1ph AC based slow charging or DC Fast charging option. 1Ph AC based slow AC takes 8-10 hours of charging which is not suitable for long range outstation trips. Option of DC fast charger does not work out effectively since availability of public DC fast charging stations is very rare due to enormous initial cost, technical complexities of the equipment & grid augmentation constraints. Hence, a novel patented solution has been developed which will enable EVs to get charge at semi-fast/fast rate using Two 1ph AC based public charging stations or single 3Ph AC public charging stations available at any domestic/commercial location. Development of 1Ph AC or 3Ph AC based charging network is multiple times cheaper then installing extremely costly DC fast chargers based network. The developed solution, when provided inbuilt with the EVs, will empower EVs to be be inherently capable of fast charging using most commonly available resources without depending on the high cost DC charging infrastructure with rare availability. If implemented as complete off-board solution, it will be of immense help to quickly develop cost-effective fast charging network on large scale. Presently we are developing customized prototype compact DC fast chargers for different EVs based on patented solution and offering technological partnership agreement to EV manufacturers and EV charging network developers for utilization of the patented solution on commercial scale. The developed patented solution has a potential to be a game changer for EV manufacturers & EV charging network developers. Hence, the developed solution will help to boost adoption of EVs and successful & faster transition of India to e-mobility based ecosystem in near future.
