PROJECT BACKGROUND: PRASATTI AGRO INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED The multi-fruit and vegetable processing unit has been proposed to establish as a micro enterprise in Jalapigarapalli of Chikkaballapur District in Karnataka state. The unit is intended to produce the value-added products of fruits and vegetables such as tomato ketchup, jam & jelly, canned fruit pulp and vegetables, pickles and squash, which have a huge demand as their consumption has been increasing due to changing lifestyles of people in India as well as abroad. Chikkaballapura is located 55 kms from the state capital Bengaluru and is spread across 7 Talukas i.e.,Gowribidanur, Gudibande, Bagepalli, Chikkaballapura, Shidlagatta, Cheluru and Chintamani. Also situated on the border of Karnataka, thus having proximity to Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu. This will help in procuring the raw materials from all the regions. District enjoys the well-established connectivity to all forms of transportation. Inland Container Depot (ICD) are also within 70 Kms from the district, which will enhance the logistics linkages to all parts of the globe. The primary sector makes up 26.2% of the district’s GDP, For 2023-24 it is estimated that 70.59 lakh ha. of area under food crops will be cultivated with the production of 112.32 lakh tons. The other major crops comprise of Ragi, Maize, Gherkins, Rose Onions, Tomato, Mango, and Grapes. The district primarily exports Onions, Shallots, Garlic, Leeks and Other Alliaceous Vegetables. Form of the Business Enterprise: With an objective to cater to the needs of increasing demand for processed food and also to utilise the agri product wastage, promoters Sri Sumitra Narsimhappa & Sri Vijay Narsa Reddy intend to start the food processing industry. Type of Industry: Micro Enterprise Vision is to provide quality & nutritious food for the world by supporting the farmers and community.
