Indian economy is witnessing sea changes; various new legislation were introduced by the Central Govt. Some of them are GST, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Valuation Act, Amendments to Companies Act, RERA Act etc. The very intention of these laws is to stream line and stringent the tax regime in the country. These changes will bring immense opportunities to professional as well as for industrialists and entrepreneurs. In depth conceptual understanding and expertise in the aforementioned new legislation is the need of the hour. It is this pragmatism which has motivated us in the creation of “PRAYAGA SCHOOL OF CORPORATE STUDIES PRIVATE LIMITED” (A Company registered under the Companies Act, 2013). Even Middle East countries like UAE and Qatar is shifting to VAT regime. Our country being rich in its young human resources can definitely make use of these changes in the international economy. If we could train our young generation and impart them with skill and expertise to handle the new tax laws and corporate laws, then the unemployment and underemployment of the country can be addressed to a greater extent. The vision of PRAYAGA SCHOOL OF CORPORATE STUDIES PRIVATE LIMITED is to train graduates especially from commerce stream in such a way that after their graduation they will be industry ready employable professionals. Our goal is to train the commerce graduates in such a way that they can make use of the new opportunities offered in the GST Act, Insolvency and bankruptcy code, Valuation Act, RERA Act etc. Our country is rich in young man power resource. It is our responsibility to groom and mould our next generation, so that, they can make use of all the new opportunities which our economy is witnessing today. The SEBI is liberalizing its norms and now SMEs can list their securities in SME exchange. This is an upcoming area which the young commerce aspirants can make use of. In addition to existing securities marketing intermediaries like merchant bankers, lead managers, book builders, under writers, registrar and transfer agents, asset management companies, port folio managers, bankers to issue, depository participants etc, the SEBI is introducing new securities market intermediaries like investment advisers, valuers etc. These are another area which young graduates can make use of. The intellectual property rights such as patents, trademark, and copyrights are gaining significance and popularity in the modern corporate world. Many corporate are creating ‘Brand image’ through development of various branded products. The valuation of the brand image and sale of trade mark is happening every now and then Intellectual property laws is yet another area for young commerce aspirant, with India being a party of ‘TRIPS’ agreement, now international legislation of trademark is also possible. It is our duty to train our next generation to grab these opportunities at national and international level.
