Agricultural Commodity Warehouses and Collateral Management services will be a major boost to the Agri based developing country like India. Instead of selling their commodity to meet immediate cash-flow needs at peak production season, when commodity prices are generally at their lowest levels, the farmer can store their commodity in a qualified warehouse and postpone selling to a later date when prices are supposed to be higher. The farmer then uses the commodity in storage to pledge as collateral for a loan which is used for the immediate cash-flow needs. From the financier's perspective, warehouse receipts, when used as collateral, can facilitate lending to farmers. PBHCL provides effective Collateral and Warehouse Management services with trading and supply chain services. It also provides additional services like linkage to the growers and traders, market intelligence and advisory services, certification services, Inspection, Valuation, etc with addition to testing the commodities at an affordable cost to ignite the Warehouse Receipts Market and to promote commodity financing. PBHCL is developing a state of art laboratories and ware house management systems along with proper commodity care and pest management services. Activity: PBHCL undertakes the activities referred above with major focus on Warehousing and Collateral Management. PBHCL takes on rent the Warehouses built with standard specifications prescribed by the regulators. The entire operations of the Warehouses will be undertaken by the employees of PBHCL. All most all the major commodities are stored in the warehouse, Farmers, Agri processing Industry, Agri Exporters Agri Traders and supply chain Managers are major clients of the Company . PBHCL also arranges the finance to its clients based on the Warehouse Receipts. In this connection PBHCL has entered in to agreement with the Commercial Banks
