Prithvi Rakshak is a climate-tech venture building practical, scalable waste-to-wealth infrastructure for India. We design automated vermicomposting solutions that help municipalities, housing societies, farms, nurseries, and institutions convert organic waste into consistent, high-quality organic inputs i.e. vermicompost, vermiwash, and vermisticks. Our flagship system, VermiKendra, combines engineered composting chambers with real-time sensing (temperature, humidity, moisture, pH and gas indicators), smart controls, and a bio-enzyme accelerator to maintain ideal conditions and shorten composting cycles. The ecosystem is supported by VermiVeda (a monitoring and guidance app) and VermiIntelliMix (a feed-balancing module that improves carbon–nitrogen consistency), enabling users to manage organic waste cleanly, reliably, and with minimal labour. We are also developing VermiDoot, a mobility-first collector concept for decentralized waste collection and transfer in communities. Impact to date: 2,000+ kg of waste recycled, ₹3,00,000+ revenue generated, ~1.2 tons of carbon footprint reduced, 2,100+ customers served, and collaborations with 30+ farmers. By turning organic waste into market-ready products, Prithvi Rakshak reduces landfill burden, improves soil health, and proves that sustainability can be both measurable and economically viable.
