Punha LLP is an Indian medical device startup engaged in the indigenous design and manufacturing of innovative prosthetic systems. Incorporated on 17 October 2025, the company operates from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, with in-house engineering and pilot-scale manufacturing capabilities. Punha is developing modular prosthetic solutions integrated with intent-based (non-invasive neuromuscular/EMG) control systems, enabling more natural and intuitive user operation compared to conventional mechanical prosthetics. The modular architecture allows customization, repairability, and scalable manufacturing, reducing lifecycle cost and dependency on proprietary components. The startup’s innovation lies in the integration of mechanical design, embedded electronics, and control algorithms, all developed and manufactured in India. Products are designed for field serviceability, long-term use, and affordability, addressing critical gaps in existing prosthetic solutions. Punha follows an engineering-led R&D approach with in-house product development, prototyping, and manufacturing, and is progressing toward regulatory compliance under the Indian medical device framework. Through Made-in-India manufacturing and technology-driven innovation, Punha aims to deliver scalable, cost-effective prosthetic solutions while supporting domestic manufacturing and healthcare self-reliance.
