Company Brief – B.BathB.Bath is a first-of-its-kind Educational Family Skincare brand, blending neuroscience, developmental psychology, and clean formulation science to reimagine bath time as a sensory-safe, connection-building ritual for modern families.Founded by Ishwarya Iyer, a Harvard-certified educator and neurodevelopment specialist, and Ganesh Sahasranam, a chemical engineer with two decades of industrial and FMCG experience, B.Bath was born from the belief that skincare isn’t just about hygiene—it’s about emotional regulation, learning, and attachment.Ishwarya’s journey began in the classroom, where she led two educational ventures—Vedic Lore and Bodhi Tree—that reached over 1,700 children globally and were eventually acquired by Dibber International, a global early education leader. During her time in education, she witnessed a consistent pattern: children who began their mornings with overstimulation or stress were more likely to experience dysregulation, tantrums, and difficulty focusing in class. In contrast, children with calm, sensory-balanced routines flourished emotionally and socially.What began as a classroom insight evolved into a category-defining idea:In today’s dual-income households, bath time is one of the few remaining windows for meaningful connection—and it can be harnessed for far more than just cleaning.Together, Ishwarya and Ganesh along (with their team including educators, paediatric endocrinologists, paediatric dermatologists, occupational therapists and other child development specialists) built B.Bath to serve that purpose. With his formulation and scale expertise and her (and teams) deep grounding in child development, they’ve created skincare that is: • Neuro-sensory safe: Every product is co-developed with a team of occupational therapists, speech therapists, pediatric dermatologists, and endocrinologists, ensuring textures, scents, and application rituals are gentle, calming, and suitable even for neurodiverse children. • Ingredient-purist and food-grade: B.Bath goes beyond industry standards by eliminating not just known irritants, but also commonly used “generally safe” ingredients like PEGs, phenoxyethanol, quats, parabens, sodium benzoate, synthetic fragrance, rosemary extract, and vetiver oil—all of which showed overstimulation or allergenic potential during their in-house research with sensitive skin groups and neurodiverse children. • Fresh and shelf-responsible: All products are made in small batches using food-grade, plant-based preservatives with an intentionally short 18-month shelf life—a rarity in the industry, prioritizing skin health over mass-market convenience. • Rooted in developmental science: Each product is paired with a sensory-informed interaction prompt based on the Harvard Project Zero “See, Think, Wonder” framework, helping parents turn everyday routines into nurturing, brain-building experiences.With B.Bath, bath time becomes more than a routine—it becomes a tool for co-regulation, language development, and secure attachment.The company is backed by Ishwarya’s successful entrepreneurial track record and Anand’s formulation scalability experience, supported by a 57-year-old family agricultural legacy that brings farm-to-skin traceability into every bottle.B.Bath is building an entirely new category: Educational Family Care.We are not just a skincare brand—we are a child-first, parent-conscious, science-backed wellness movement for modern families.
