In their own words
The Black soldier fly Farming business will help with three problems we face today. As global warming increases and our population grows (by as much as 50% over the next 50 years) our way of life, and possibly our very existence, is threatened. Our business can be part of the solution. Considering that organic waste is one of the biggest contributors to global warming, the statement about food waste situation in Indonesia has drawn much attention from food and waste experts all around the world. In fact, according to a study made by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in 2016, Indonesia is the second largest food waster of the world, squandering nearly 300 kilograms of food per person each year. Problem #1: Data reveals that India wastes as much food as the whole United Kingdom eats, contrary to Indians' perception that we don't waste food. In fact, food waste in India is a troubling concern, and the streets of the country, especially garbage bins and landfills have ample evidence to prove this. Up to 40 per cent of the food produced in India is wasted. Problem #2: Incompetent feed management systems for cattle, poultry, fisheries and animal nutrition would lead to load on the existing protein sources, mostly derived from soya or pulses. So insect protein comes out as a viable alternative. India needs to device a solution to the growing demand of feed for animals. Insect protein creates a viable circle economy for animals (feed) and food waste. Problem #3: Organic waste in landfill generates methane (a significant contributor to global warming) which is released due to the decomposition of organic matter and can be mitigated through the consumption by the larvas thereby also eliminating the obnoxious odour from food waste.

The neighbourhood
This record carries no locality line, so the district is the finest ring we can place it in.

- no incorporation date
- no funding signal of any kind
- no address beyond the district
We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.
