Raw N Urban is an organization floated by Jaipur based young lady Seema Sharda in 2012 focusing on the revival of rich tradition of Rajasthan culture and heritage. She did a thorough research by going through ancient and well written books and interacted with artisans of Rajasthan and elsewhere. Her main focus is on the revival of ancient art of Gold Foiling and block printing in a very innovative form with the help of gifted and well versed artisans. Raw N Urban products are made after immense research and taken into consideration various aspects including the current trend without spoiling the age old charm and tradition. able in the market as we found out from the market research the new generation always like natural jewelry, vegetable dyes, block printing and Seema too wanted to focus such things in my products.” Sharda said. Besides jewelry like earrings, rings, neck laces etc, Seema also started designing clothes using dabu, vegetable dyes and prints inspired by rich culture of Rajasthan. She focuses on natural fabrics and traditional fabrics and weaving techniques. Though sometime she derives from western culture, generally she is influenced by our great Indian culture and tradition. Her design resurrects patterns and skills of ancient art into a rhythm of modern look. She Mostly is Art lover so she insists artistic view including hand embroideries fusions with Kaftans, Capes, Cowls Etc. Keeping comfort is the priority in her collection is affordable and suits every women’s pocket.
