We are a group of mostly past and some current researchers from IISER-Mohali, CSIR-IMTECH Chandigarh, and PGIMER Chandigarh, looking forward to commercialize protein based reagents sourced mainly through Indian Research Organisation under various MoUs, and also through organisations of foreign origin. Most protein researches in India work on various proteins during their lifetime, and most of the clones for these proteins keep laying in their respective -80 refrigerators as there are hardly any Indian companies which are willing to commercialize these proteins. As a result, most of the Indian researchers have to buy such proteins from various companies of foreign origin. We, Indian researchers are capable of making most of these proteins, which we have to source from companies of foreign origins as we don't have trusted Indian manufactures supplying protein based reagents. Most of us were not inclined to start a company to commercialize our research as there was hardly any support for startups and innovations in academic institutions in India. As a company we, Recdesprot pvt. ltd., intend to align with the "Make in India" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" philosophy of the Government of India under the leadership of our honorable Prime minister, and want to provide a platform to all research institutes of India to commercialize their research through us. With our startup, we are trying to make India self reliant in terms of protein reagents to minimize excessive dependence on companies of foreign origin, and in this way we will be able to generate employment for ourselves and for other Indian researchers in near future.
