The core activity of the Company is to provide sustainability and modernisation of vintage defence equipment like armoured vehicles, combat vehicles, weapon systems, and air defence systems used by the Indian Defence Forces. The primary objective of the Company is to improve the operational life, raise performance standards, and enhance combat readiness of existing vintage defence equipment through technological modernisation and improvement of processes, upgradation and bringing new and advance technology in the defense sector to boost make in india compaign. In order to achieve this objective, the Company partners with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEMs”) based on Transfer of Technology (“ToT”) collaborations. Such partnerships enable indigenization and upgrading of vintage defence equipment and saving huge amount which may require for new procurment and burdened up the capital investment on defense budget. Key activities are modernization, refurbishment, repair, and development of a viable supply chain of necessary spares to provide sustained support during operation. Through these activities the Company helps the Indian Defence Forces to make notable capital expenditure savings, decreasing dependence on expensive new procurements and foreign imports. Meanwhile, it improves the Indian defence self-sufficiency through incorporation of indigenous engineering and manufacture expertise.
