The primary objective of the proposed start-up is to cater the requirement of magnetic components for the power electronic applications suite to the new era. The recent developments in the semiconductor devices such as the introduction of wide-band gap devices makes the power electronic system compact and efficient. This is achieved by operating the power electronics system at high frequency. During this process the subsystem existing in the power electronic system also should be able to operate at the same frequency. The conventional design of magnetic component does not address this scenario and if we proceed with the same design it may leads to an inefficient operation and in most of the cases the component will fail. The market survey and from the literature, it is leant that the magnetic component design methodology for this new era is not well defined. With our experience we could establish a design method for the magnetic components for high frequency operation. By establishing a start-up, we would like to meet the requirement of power electronic industry by providing the required magnetic components, either design values or the fabricated units, for their applications by protecting our know-how. Second objective of the Start-up is to meet the requirements of the industry for the analysis of magnetic components. As stated above, due to the complex geometry of the magnetic components, the analysis of the flux distribution and the thermal profile is complex. Finite element analysis tool is used to carry out such complex analysis. In many industries it is found that they do not have an expertise in such area, and it may not be worth to invest for these activities alone. In the power electronics market also there are limited people are available who takes such activities as an outsourced work. Hence, still there are opportunities exits to cater the requirement of industries in this area.
