Hi, We are Erionwear (a unit of ROIBORI PRIVATE LIMITED). We are into manufacturing Eri Silk Fabric, apparel, and accessories such as stoles, shawls, throws etc. We want to promote our cultural heritage and bring a change to the livelihoods of the rural community of weavers, spinners, cocoon rearers, and everyone linked to this age-old heritage. The world knows India mainly for mulberry silk, but when it comes to Eri Silk and Muga Silk, very little is known often and asked about. We want to take Eri Silk as well as Muga Silk out into the world as a potential and sustainable source of Fabric Apart from that, we are also planning to utilize the full potential of silk in the personal care industry. As we know that silk has been widely used previously in biomedical applications and silk is composed of two potential proteins: Fibroin and Sericin, we plan to use these two proteins in such applications for both Eri and Muga Silk which is predominantly found in Assam.
