Sakhi Mahila Milk Producer Company Limited is a Private limited company incorporated under part-IX-A of companies act 1956 in 2016 and started its milk procurement on 12th day of November, 2016. After the company was started this noble initiative was financially supported by DHANII (Non-profit organization of Tata Trust) and technically supported by NDDB Dairy Services (NDS), Delhi. On the first day of its operation (12th day of November, 2016) company collected 536 KG milk from 137 producer members and which has reached 100,000 KG Per Day from 18,000 women milk producers during its 3 years of operations this indicates the Goodwill created for Sakhi in the region. Out of the total 18000 members 87% account for marginal farmers who have less than 3 animals. As of now we are procuring more than 100,000 liters of milk per day from more than 18,000 active women share holder members. The paid up share capital stands at 210 lakh rupees and is increasing as we connect to more and more women in the area towards a productive relationship. For the year by gone our turnover was around 53 crores and we are very positive with our sincere effort and best intentions we will keep up in future as well. Out of all the three financial years we have been operating we are proud that we were able to give 8 % dividend to our members for two consecutive years. We are also proud of the fact that 88% of the total revenue company generates is directly transferred to the accounts of our milk producer members which is a benchmark in itself for a producer company.
