Saltech Design Labs Private Limited (Recycler India - SDLPL) is a technology start-up incubated at PDPU Innovation & Incubation Centre, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The start-up is supported by Industries Department-Govt. of Gujarat, Centre For Innovation Incubation & Entrepreneurship-IIM Ahmedabad, Building Material Technology Promotion Council-Govt. of India and Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter-Habitat for Humanity USA. We strive to be the sustainable technology development company with majority area focus into waste management, recycling, renewables, cleantech, composite materials, and construction. We're bringing advance recycling technology within existing systems to extract maximum value out of waste. It will be forwardly integrated with material recovery facilities (MRFs) to source real post-consumer plastic waste from city waste streams and after use minerals/aggregate/ash from industrial waste streams. We are recycling these wastes into polymer composite material which is an artificially created material that is not found in nature and combines qualities uncharacteristic of other materials. The material is produced as a result of uniform mixing of the main components (filler/aggregate and polymer) at the specified temperature regime, resulting in polymer ingestion of each filler particle. In subsequent molding and hardening, the aggregate mass polymer forms a homogeneous monolithic structure with high strength. This sustainable material recycled from waste, is far better in performance compared to cement concrete in precast applications such as block, brick & tiles used for pavements, flooring, walls & roads. Thus, we also contribute towards green earth and a sustainable environment for everyone. In addition, these will create a new waste circular economy and generate employment in the waste management sector. Our target is the low cost affordable housing segment to alleviate the high construction material and labor costs with new material and factory made precast products (reducing labor at site) which are price competitive to concrete and has wide range of applications in construction & infrastructure segment.
