Samavit Vikas Private Limited (SVPL) is established as a social enterprise to empower India through digital finance and payment services. It aims to drive inclusive development through financial inclusion. Samavit Vikas is a Hindi term that literally means inclusive development. Samavit is a composition of two Hindi words: samta + vittya i.e. finance to all with equity. Hence the name of the company justifies its purpose of inclusive development through financial inclusion. It is driven by the following mission and vision: Mission: “Developing market-based solutions for fulfilling financial and livelihoods needs of the poor” Vision: “We dream of empowered society through inclusive development” SVPL is committed to address availability, accessibility and affordability of microfinance, digital finance and payment services using research, innovation, social business and partnership strategies. The long-term aim of the company is to improve financial well-being of the target clients i.e. the poor and low-income households, particularly the women, in partnership with the financial service providers through the following strategies: • Promote digital finance and payment system amongst the poor and low-income households • Partner with the digital financial services for providing wide range of financial services to the poor and low-income households • Partner with the IT companies and others that aim to promote digital finance and payment systems under their CSR mandate amongst the poor, low income and informal sector workers • Address the financial constraints faced by the poor and low-income citizens in accessing social impact goods and services such as health and renewable energy related products and services Samavit Vikas Private Limited (SVPL) is promoted to drive microfinance and digital finance in India through inclusive, innovative and impact-based development strategy. Its key service offerings are to: • Offer digital finance and payment services to the rural communities in partnership with banks and local entrepreneurs (mainly women). • Provide technical support, research and project management services to diverse stakeholders • Research and develop market-based solutions for enhancing access and usage of financial services including digital finance and payment services in rural and urban slums of India • Develop and implement projects seeking for inclusive, innovative and impact-based solutions for enhancing the quality and outreach of above-mentioned services amongst the target end clients • Provide technical support to financial inclusion stakeholders • Collaborate with government, corporates and others committed to the goals of inclusive development through financial inclusion
