Tumor cannot grow beyond 2mm without supply of oxygen and nutrients. Tumor cells recruit new blood vessels, a process called angiogenesis, to facilitate growth. Biological molecules that inhibit growth of blood vessels can starve tuor to death. Production and validation of antiangiogenic scFv miniature antibodies with anticancer and anti arthritic properties. We have cloned and expressed scFv's. We are yet to validate and scale up. The antibodies are directed against overexpressed angiogenic receptors on cancer cells and inflammatory cells. Cost effective drugs can be generated using scFv's.
