Sarus Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. is a Belagavi-based deep-tech aerospace startup focused on developing indigenous drone technology for India. The company specializes in VTOL and multirotor UAVs, composite manufacturing, embedded electronics, and proprietary drone software. Along with complete drone systems, Sarus also designs critical sub-components such as GNSS modules, smart battery systems, power distribution boards, high-amp connectors, and PPK modules. Sarus Aerospace’s flagship drone Shaurya has been selected by the Indian Army and is scheduled for presentation at the 26 January Republic Day parade at India Gate—a significant national achievement. The company has also set performance benchmarks, becoming India’s first to achieve long-distance flight capability in its category. With a strong R&D foundation, a 15-member expert team, and collaborations with engineering institutions for drone labs and Centers of Excellence, Sarus Aerospace is building a fully indigenous ecosystem to support India’s growing UAV industry across defense, industrial, and commercial applications.
