Sealink Electric and Software Pvt Ltd is developing AFCOS (Adaptive Fuel and Course Optimisation System), a physics-informed AI platform for vessel fuel consumption prediction and voyage optimisation. Fuel is the largest operating cost for ship operators, yet existing monitoring tools use "black-box" statistical models that cannot reliably correct for weather and are not trusted by crews. AFCOS solves this by combining established naval architecture models (hull resistance, wave resistance, engine combustion, propeller performance) with a machine learning correction layer, making predictions physically explainable and accurate with limited vessel data. Validated on real vessel operating data, AFCOS is built for offline-first onboard deployment with cloud-based fleet analytics for shore teams.
