Develop a proto-type design for jack-up with a second elevating deck and extending platform for installing or replacing gearboxes, generators, offshore wind turbine hubs and blades – on foot and without the need for the large boom cranes. The extending platform grabs the offshore wind turbine with a soft capture collar, minimising differential sway, to provide a safe and stable working environment. This will make the operations easier and safer for employees. This innovative design will triple the operational efficiency, changing three blades in roughly the same time it takes to change one. And it provides not only a greater deck area but 2 levels of working environment at different heights. This also aim for more productive up-time and less weather-related downtime an interesting cost-saving opportunity.
