In their own words
1)Introduction to the Company SelciusTechOps Pvt Ltd is incorporated by professionals who have more than 150 man years of experience in various fields of technology, sales, Manufacturing operations, Finance, management, strategy. Directors of the company are also Ex Army officers of Lt Col rank and bring in discipline and complex field operations experience in India and abroad. Founders, initial supports are driven by doing impact on triple bottom line front, ie Commercial success, positive social impact and contribution towards environment. 2) Solutions 2.1 Post-Harvest Cooling Solution India, the world’s second- largest producer of fruits and vegetables, is also one of the biggest food wasters in the world –wasting INR 440 billion worth of fruits, vegetables and grains. Every year 10 million tons of cold storage capacity is required to prevent the over 30% wastage of perishable produce. The current facilities are accessible only to the big farmers/middlemen who hoard when supplies peak, leading to huge price fluctuations. The bottom of the pyramid (BOP) i.e. the small farmer loses out, as they have to sell their produce at very low prices right after harvest. Post-harvest losses can mean that these small farmers need to sell their fresh produce immediately at whatever price they can get, before they lose the crops that represent investments of labor, water, and agricultural inputs. This often results in glut situations and low price realization.Targeting post-harvest losses can offer higher internal rates of return, have a significant impact on poverty alleviation and improvement of health and food security whilst ensuring a more sustainable use of resources. To reduce the post-harvest losses and ensuring a higher return for the marginal farmers, Selcius Techops have developed an affordable post-harvest cooling chamber hereby christened as Koolbox which is a temperature controlled cold storage facility for storage of fresh fruits and vegetables powered by Hybrid – Grid cum solar photovoltaic with battery backup. The insulated walk-in type cold storage chamber (L×B×H, ft: 8×8×8) will be constructed of composite insulation panels and fitted with a air conditioner based refrigeration system with 1 ton rated capacity. Temperature controllers will be fitted in the cold storage chamber to maintain desired room temperature of around 12°C -15°C. KoolBox addresses the problem of post- harvest losses in fruits, vegetables and other perishable food. KoolBox will be installed in locations close to major food production and consumption -in markets and farms, enabling farmers to store their produce inside the cold room. Unique features of Koolbox • Eco-friendly insulation by the use of bio degradable composite insulation panels • The use of low cost off the shelf air conditioner • The use of UV Light and photo-catalyst technology to purify the air in the cold room to ensure longer shelf life. • The system ensures reliable and consistent conditions by removing harmful pollutants, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. Our solution will subscribe to the triple bottom line • The affordable Koolbox can ensure higher returns for the farmers which has a social impact • The post-harvest cooling will reduce the losses thus contributing to a healthier environment • The composite insulation panels called the Airkore board will be made of agricultural waste thus reducing the pollution 2.2 Insulated outdoor jacket, sleeping bag, insoles and gloves for extreme cold climate The Armed Forces currently imports the super high altitude clothing from the US/European countries. The Government is giving final touches to a long-pending project to locally source specialised clothing, sleeping kits and key equipment for its soldiers deployed in the Siachen glacier - the world's most dangerous battlefield. These will be manufactured in India through involvement of the private sector. The super high altitude clothing is mostly imported from the European countries. India spends around Rs 200 crore annually in import of Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) and mountaineering kits for Defense Forces guarding the glacier at the heights ranging from 16,000 feet to 20,000 feet, according to official data. Selcius Techops is exploring the feasibility of producing extreme cold clothing in India using AirKore a novel insulation material which is a very good substitute for the currently used natural or synthetic down material in insulated clothing. Benefits a. AirKore insulation is naturally hydrophobic. b. AirKore has better insulation performance under compression. c. AirKore is fire retardant. Savings This is in line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiya 2.3 AirKore Composite Board Selcius Techops is exploring the feasibility of developing composite ecofriendly panels by using agricultural waste and AirKore insulation material which will be of immense use in the construction industry.

- no website on file
- no funding signal of any kind
We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.
