It all begins in the month of September 2020 when the entire world was involved in Covid-19 pandemic. As I took voluntary retirement from BSNL dated 31st January 2020, we thought about starting a private limited company wherein, we could generate income from dollars by strengthening export potential of India particularly in agricultural products and stone boulders. The company Selina Exporters Private Limited was established on 21st September 2020 under MCA at Plot No.130 Village Panishala, Chagrabandha, District Coochbehar, West Bengal-735301 by two founder directors namely Ilyas Ahmed and Selina Ahmed, observing all the rules and regulation of MCA. After taking local trade license from village panchayat and other essential licenses and tax registration, the company acquired the first letter of credit from Bangladesh importer for a supply of 500 MT boulders per month. The company started export of boulders from land port Changrabandha of West Bengal to land port Burimari of Bangladesh w. e. f. 8th December 2020 onwards for initial demand of 500 MT earning 5000 USD per month. This roughly credits a projected remittance of INR Rs.3, 56, 000/- per month for the company. This enables an estimated turnover of approximately INR Rs. 42, 72, 000/- annually by exporting a single product. In the month of January 2021, the company applied registration from MSME, FIEO, FSSAI and APEDA to carryout export in the agricultural products also.
