Our Startup is a technology-enabled local services marketplace created to bring structure, trust, and accountability to the home and essential services sector in tier-2 and tier-3 cities of India. The platform addresses the everyday challenges faced by customers who struggle to find reliable electricians, plumbers, technicians, and other service professionals through informal and unverified sources. In smaller cities, service discovery is largely dependent on word-of-mouth, shopkeeper references, or roadside contacts, which often leads to inconsistent service quality, unclear pricing, delayed availability, and no formal resolution mechanism. At the same time, skilled service providers work independently with irregular job flow, income uncertainty, and limited opportunities to build long-term credibility. The startup bridges this gap by offering a structured digital platform that connects customers with verified local service providers. Providers are onboarded after identity and basic skill verification and continue to operate independently within a defined workflow. Service requests are assigned based on location and availability, and each job is tracked from initiation to completion through customer confirmation, improving transparency and accountability. For customers, the platform offers a simple and dependable way to book essential services with clear communication and post-service support. For service providers, it creates access to genuine work opportunities, transparent payouts, and performance-based growth, along with long-term benefits such as insurance eligibility upon meeting defined thresholds. The business follows an asset-light and scalable model, generating revenue through platform and convenience fees on completed services, with the goal of professionalizing local service delivery in emerging cities.
