Shree Shreelatha Green Energies Pvt. Ltd. is developing a Compressed Biogas (CBG) project in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. The startup converts renewable biomass, including Napier grass and corn straw, into compressed biogas (CBG) and organic manure through advanced anaerobic digestion technology. The project promotes sustainable agricultural residue management while supporting the synchronization of renewable CBG with India's City Gas Distribution (CGD) ecosystem. It aims to strengthen India's energy security by reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels through the efficient utilization of indigenous, renewable, and recyclable biomass resources. The project also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, discourages open-field burning of agricultural residues, and creates additional income opportunities for farmers through sustainable biomass value chains. The startup's business model is based on supplying high-quality compressed biogas to authorized gas offtakers and producing nutrient-rich organic manure, thereby contributing to a circular economy, rural development, and a cleaner energy future for India.
