SPD INDIA is an initiative to provide comprehensive sterilization solutions & deliveries to the healthcare units. Our vision is to contribute in improving quality of Indian Healthcare delivery system bestowing high-quality sterilization solution to healthcare institutes that help in decreasing rate of hospital-acquired infections which will ultimately lead to decrease in morbidity, mortality & treatment cost. Our services include sterilization of surgical instruments, drapes, cotton & gauge that are used on open wounds & body fluids in hospital & make them micro-organism free. Hospital acquired infection (HAI) is one the major worries in Indian healthcare especially with primary & secondary hospitals & clinics. One of the main sources of HAI are instruments & equipment that are earlier used on patient & not being properly sterilised before reuse. Only washing under the running water or soaking in alcohol or heating on the flame does not disinfect instrument & make it ready to use for surgery. The lack of know how about the complete process of sterilisation leads to HAI to the patients. The other issues like high cost of quality steriliser, number of variety of steriliser for different composition of materials & lack of space availability lead to compromise on Sterilization process Outsources Sterilization department is the need of an hour to resolve the challenges faced mainly by the primary & secondary healthcare institutes.
