To support Indian Railways by 1. Constructing new railway lines, laying new electric cables, up gradating the existing railway lines or electric cables, constructing bridges, tunnels , lighting of Tunnels, earthwork, roads and other construction activities including supply, erection and commissioning of equipment and other infrastructure and providing requisite services related thereto under or over any land, streets, hills, valleys, rivers, canals, or other waters or any drains or other places wherever required for the smooth functioning of Indian Railways; 2. Altering the course of any rivers, brooks or other water courses, for the purpose of constructing and maintaining tunnels, bridges, passages for other works over or under them, and divert or alter, either temporarily or permanently the course of any rivers, brooks or other water courses or any roads, streets or ways, or raise or sink the level thereof in order to carry them more conveniently over or under or by the side of the railway; 3. Erecting, operating and maintaining or repairing any telephone lines, signal system, electric traction equipment, power supply and distribution installation in connection with the working of the railway; 4. Making and maintaining works for the accommodation of the owners and occupiers of lands adjoining the railway such as crossing, bridges, over bridges, under bridges, culverts, tunnels, roads, drains, water sources or other passages over, under or by the sides of, or leading to or from the railway; 5. Making drains or conduits into, through or under any lands adjoining the railway for the purpose of conveying water from or to the railway; 6. Making boundary marks or fences, erecting gates, chains, bars, stiles or hand rails in connection with the working in railway; 7. Providing and maintaining any means of transport with a terminus at or near a railway station, which may be required for reasonable convenience of passengers, animals or goods
