Storey is a mobile-first site-operations platform for small and mid-sized construction contractors in North-East India. Today supervisors track attendance, material stock and daily progress on paper registers and WhatsApp, so contractors discover cost overruns weeks after they happen.Storey replaces this with one Android and web application covering attendance and wage calculation, material receipt, transfer and consumption on an append-only stock ledger, daily site logs, tasks, sub-contractor records, budgeting with cost centres, and reports.The core innovation is an offline-first architecture. Construction sites routinely have no usable mobile data, so every entry is written to a local queue on the device and synced automatically when the connection returns — the supervisor never loses work or waits for a network. The interface is deliberately visual, using colour, icons and large numbers rather than dense English text, so a supervisor with limited formal education can operate it on a low-cost Android phone.The product is live with a pilot contractor in Guwahati. The business model is multi-tenant SaaS priced per site, which scales across India's large base of small contractors without a proportional increase in headcount.
