Agro based Dietary Supplement Business – as start up: A dietary supplement is a manufactured product intended to supplement one's diet. A supplement can provide nutrients either extracted from food sources or that are synthetic in order to increase the quantity of their consumption. People have used the active ingredients in dietary supplements for thousands of years to help health and to treat illness. Dietary supplements include a wide range of products, like multivitamins, minerals, amino acids, and herbs. Some come from natural sources, like plants. Others are man-made Herbal supplements are products derived from plants and/or their oils, roots, seeds, berries or flowers. Herbal supplements have been used for many centuries. They are believed to have healing properties. Indian ancient herbs contain powerful anti-oxidents , which may reduce inflammation, boost brain function, prevent anxiety and stress help in lowering blood pressure, reduce blood sugar level, reduce symptoms of depression and they are safe . In above line, we propose to start A START- UP under trade name SVAJIVA HERBALS PRIVATE LIMITED. In this start up we propose to produce following: 1. Herbal and immunity tea;2. Moringa Products;3. Ready to use health snacks.;4. Dried vegetables and Fruits. 5. Pulps, Juices, Immunity booster and Energy drinks In this we can also do following: 1. Moringa products like powder, biscuits; 2. Gwar powder and its snacks 3. Ready to use snacks made out of: (a) Chia seeds; (b) Flex seeds; (c) Quinoa seeds; (d) Sunflower seeds; (e) Pumpkin seeds; (f) Marjoram; g) Basil leaves; (h) Rose Mary; (i) Millets; (j) Different soups like Moringa, Lemon grass ,Millets, Kito, etc. etc. 4. Turmeric capsule and Tabs; 5. Isabgol sachets ; 6. Food for Special Medical purpose; 7. Different Juices , and health drinks; and the list is endless Dietary Supplements working towards innovation: Within the Dietary supplements, Innovation is evident in multiple area right from transparency in the supply chain to ingredient delivery, customization and personalization. Dietary supplement industry led new initiatives in agriculture practices, collection practices, manufacturing practices, botanical materials, Supplement Safety and Compliance Initiatives, Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance (GRMA), and the Botanical Adulteration Programs. Employment Generation: Dietary supplements stem from an involved and interwoven supply chain that is situational and dependant on different niches. Each niche in the dietary supplement industry will have different supply chain inputs due to different materials and processes. This holds true for all levels of the supply chain, which includes obtainment of raw material, manufacturing, wholesaling and retail sales. Heavy market influences exist for dietary supplement products sold by Internet retailers and for traditional stores. This highly diverse industry supports not only direct employment at the different stages of the supply chain, but also has a “multiplier effect” which produces additional jobs indirectly. Wealth creation: Growing demand for the industry’s products causes direct job growth, lowered health care costs, additional “multiplier effect” job growth and increased tax revenue for both federal and state governments.The dietary supplement industry affects the economy in three main ways. Direct, indirect and induced effects stem from this industry to influence the economy. In the recent years in India there is growing demand for the directory supplements, which causes wealth creation by way of direct growth, lowered health care costs, additional ‘multiplier effect” job growth and increased tax revenue for both Central and State Governments, besides direct wealth creation for diet supplements industry itself. At Svajiva Herbals Private Limited, we propose to export most of our products, and that will generate foreign exchange for the country. The market of dietary supplements is huge and even we cater .1% of world demand we can do wonders. The demand is increasing very fast and now the whole world is looking at India for veggie substitute.
