Swanetra Healthcare Services Private Limited is a healthcare initiative with a focused goal – to improve the management of dry eye disease in India. Our mission is twofold: first, to increase awareness about the impact of dry eye, particularly among IT professionals and individuals with prolonged screen exposure; and second, to locally manufacture and provide affordable, high-quality products and also provide therapy sessions. By addressing the prevalence of dry eye, we aspire to enhance the well-being of individuals, alleviate discomfort stemming from prolonged screen exposure, boost workplace productivity, and contribute to the economic vitality of India. We, both the founders, have suffered from dry eye disease for a significant amount of time. Dry eye disease has had a significant toll on our lives, we had to give up our jobs, manage the financial strain of eye care, and even skip simple joys like being outdoors in wind. We couldn't look at digital screens because dry eyes damaged our cornea and triggered sensitivity to light. Driving at night became a risky affair because our vision was impaired by the blurriness caused by dry eyes. In our pursuit to treat this disease we tried numerous methods to alleviate our symptoms, but we discovered that most products in the Indian market were ineffective. Many proven solutions from the USA and other Western countries significantly help with dry eyes, but they are unaffordable for most Indians. Our goal is to locally produce and make these effective products accessible in the Indian market at an affordable price. Additionally, we aim to reduce the cost of therapy sessions, such as IPL and radiofrequency therapy, making these treatments affordable for common Indians. Swanetra Healthcare Services Private Limited is motivated by personal struggles with dry eye disease, driving a commitment to provide accessible and effective solutions in India. Many dry eye patients underestimate the severity of their condition, and due to negligence, a significant portion eventually develops chronic and severe dry eye disease. Our primary goal is to curb this trend by spreading awareness. Through education initiatives, we aim to prevent the further deterioration of the disease by encouraging early intervention and promoting a proactive approach to managing dry eye symptoms.
