India's healthcare systems are complex and fragmented, hindering effective information sharing. Paper-based health records cause delays and inefficiencies, making critical data unavailable when needed for patient care. Transitioning to EHRs can ensure timely access to essential health information. There is a critical need for standardized, integrated EHR systems to improve information exchange among Government and Private healthcare providers. Governmental benefits like government insurance and other benefits go unrecognised in private healthcare facilities, Even though More than 75% of outpatients and over 60% of inpatients in India are treated there. Most hospital IT systems are used for billing, not EHRs, limiting clinical data availability for AI and Big Data applicationsWe propose building a web-based application that adheres to the guidelines set by the National Health Authority (NHA) and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) ecosystem. This solution will enable both patients and doctors affiliated with recognized hospitals to register on the platform. Key features of the application include: Storage of Medical Records: Securely store and manage patients' medical records. Access Control: Allow patients to give and revoke access to their medical records. Audit Log System: Maintain a detailed log to track who accessed the medical records and when. Internet-Connected Chat System: Provide a chat system that helps patients understand their reports and offers subtle suggestions based on verified online resources to aid in recovery, without diagnosing conditions. This application aims to enhance the efficiency and transparency of medical record management and improve patient understanding and engagement in their healthcare journey.
