In their own words
In the fall of 2018, we (Sreekanth and Kuber) left our high-paying jobs to start something of our own. After much brainstorming, it wasn’t until the COVID-19 lockdown that we identified a problem we could solve. Working remotely, we struggled to collaborate effectively, relying on separate platforms for email, document, and website management. We realized that most collaboration tools focus solely on task/project management, but businesses truly need a platform for communication, documentation, and web collaboration. This led to the creation of Clapup, with the goal of addressing a core challenge: workplace collaboration. After understanding how business operates, we identified three key pillars as the foundation of our product: Communication, Documentation, and Content Publishing. We both started working on the product concept and designs, by June 2021, we came up with first concept design with basic featuresand then we iterated based on the input from some of the experts in the industry. Finally we started development from November onwards. Initially we thought of releasing review inbox along with Digital Asset management, Later we decided to build message inbox and other modules, as the cutsomers are looking for full blown solutions. As we are a small team and the product is big, it took more time than anticipated. By 2023 September, we started the process of company incorporation, Sycient Technologies LLP was chosen as the name. By April 2024, first iteration was released, which got some more feedback, now the first stable version is scheduled to be released by December 31 2024.
