In their own words

Finbro is a UPI safety and financial intelligence platform that protects Indian users from UPI payment fraud before transactions occur. Similar to how Truecaller identifies spam callers, Finbro identifies suspicious UPI IDs in real-time when users scan payment QR codes — showing fraud reports from our community database before any payment is made. Key innovations: 1. Real-time UPI ID fraud detection during payment initiation using community-sourced suspicious transaction database 2. Grouping of multiple UPI Virtual Payment Addresses belonging to a single merchant identity for unified fraud risk assessment. 3. Bank statement intelligence that extracts and cross-references UPI IDs from imported statements with live fraud database 4. Pre-payment risk scoring displayed to user before transaction authorization — a first in India for UPI payments Target users: 500 million UPI users in India, particularly users in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities most vulnerable to digital payment fraud. Problem Statement: Indian UPI users have no way to verify if a UPI ID is fraudulent before making a payment. Existing UPI apps (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm) process payments but provide no fraud intelligence about the recipient's UPI ID. Result: ₹11,000+ crore lost to UPI fraud annually with no pre-payment protection layer available to users. Finbro solves this by providing Truecaller-equivalent fraud detection specifically for UPI payment addresses, displayed during the payment flow before the user confirms payment. Solution:- Finbro provides a three-layer protection system: Layer 1 — Pre-payment fraud check: Real-time UPI ID verification against community fraud database when user scans QR code. Layer 2 — Identity intelligence: Groups multiple UPI IDs of same merchant/individual to show complete payment history and fraud pattern across all their payment addresses. Layer 3 — Statement analysis: Imports bank statements to retroactively flag past payments to suspicious UPI IDs and provide spending intelligence. Technology: Native Android application built on Firebase, with community fraud reporting, bank statement PDF parsing, and UPI deep link integration for seamless payment across all major UPI apps.

The neighbourhood

This record carries no locality line, so the district is the finest ring we can place it in.

What we do not know

We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.

Is this your company?

Everything here comes from public government records. If something is wrong, the authoritative place to correct it is the Startup India portal itself, and we will pick the correction up on the next monthly snapshot.
