Teleprac Healthcare Private Limited is addressing one of India’s most pressing public health issues: the stark gap between rural populations and quality medical care. While over 63% of Indians live in rural areas, about 75% of doctors and medical infrastructure are concentrated in cities, leaving millions without timely access to specialists. For rural families, seeing a doctor often means traveling hundreds of kilometers and spending ₹5,000-10,000 per visit when factoring in transportation, accommodation, and lost wages. As a result, diagnoses are delayed, follow-up is inconsistent, and preventable conditions often escalate into life-threatening emergencies. Even more concerning, these major disorders are frequently managed by untrained professionals, putting patients' health at serious risk. Meanwhile, even in urban areas, patients struggle with fragmented care, scattered prescriptions, lost medical records, and lack of coordination between different healthcare providers/facilities, leading to inefficient treatment and potential medical errors. Teleprac was founded to address these systemic issues by building an integrated healthcare ecosystem that connects remote communities to real doctors and clinics, ensuring continuity of care. The platform unifies telemedicine, local clinic partnerships, diagnostics, and medicine delivery, all accessible via a smartphone app or web browser. At its core is a secure electronic health record (EHR) system, enabling continuous sharing of patient histories across virtual and in-person visits. This eliminates fragmented records and ensures coordinated care. What sets Teleprac apart is its commitment to ongoing support: patients receive follow-up and monitoring through a network of clinics, labs, and pharmacies. This model improves chronic disease management, reduces travel costs, and mirrors the quality of urban healthcare, while supporting national digital health initiatives and creating jobs in under-served regions.
