The Basic is a startup company that aims to provide free access to basic necessities like clean water and hygiene products to underprivileged communities in Bengaluru, India. The company was founded by Anil and Farooq, two socially conscious entrepreneurs who were inspired by the success of The Free Water, a similar initiative in the United States. The Basic's business model is based on using the packaging space on the free mineral water bottles to advertise businesses in exchange for money. This allows them to cover their operating costs and expand their reach to more communities. The company's goal is to not only provide free access to basic necessities, but also create a platform for businesses to give back to the community and make a positive impact. To enhance our services and make them more accessible to the public, we are in the process of developing a mobile application. The app will allow people to track the number of items they have received from us, get the location of vendors who have our products, scan their QR codes to get the products for free, provide feedback on the advertisements, ask questions, and make requests for additional services. The Basic is currently operating in Bengaluru, India and has distributed over 10,000 free mineral water bottles to underprivileged communities. The company plans to expand its operations to other basic necessities like hygiene products and food items, and also to other cities across India. The advertising industry in India is one of the largest in the world, with a projected market size of over $10 billion by 2023. The Basic aims to tap into this market by offering businesses an opportunity to not only advertise their products or services, but also make a social impact and contribute to the betterment of society.
